20 Days till our Due Date

We are getting down there now.. Only 20 days to go until our due date. We are getting more and more excited.. and more and more ready for Brandon to come out and play with us. Today we have our 37 week appointment. At the last one they did a full cervix check and found I am not Dialated at all yet. However, he did say that Brandon has now dropped down a lot and his head is Way way low into my pelvis now. (which explaines why my pelvis seems to feel like it is about to break in half). So we'll see what they say today.

I have been feeling ok.. I have good days and bad. Yesterday was a really good day.. Very Minimal back pain and my Pelvis was doing much better. However the day before that my back hurt soo soo bad I could barley stand it. I had to lay in one particular position on the couch for hours without moving, it was the only way I couldnt feel my back hurt.

We were supposed to make it to Aberdeen for christmas this year, however we couldn't make it due the the Big Blizzard MN and SD got. It was not fun. So we ended up staying in the cities, we didnt wanna risk getting stuck somewhere in the middle of MN or SD in the ditch.. With our luck that is when we would have went into labor. So we ended up staying here. Which was too bad but it did end up ok. My family is here. Well a lot of them. So we were able to spend Christmas day with My parents and see some of my family that did make it in from out of town.

Sounds like Jerry and Mary are going to be coming up here this week for Jason's Birthday. so that should be fun times.

Also we are having my Uncle Roy come over this coming satruday to put up the Chair Rail in Brandons room. Once that is up all we have to do is hang some pictures and we are done with his room. I can't wait to see it all put together. Also that same day my Dad is going to come over and help us install our new kitchen faucet that we got from my Uncle Kenney for christmas. He owns his own Company called SappCo. and he mostly sells faucets, fixutres, toilets, showers.. that type of stuff. So he gave us a new faucet that I wanted for Christmas. I am very excited as well to see that all put together.

Until Next time.. ta ta

Almost 9 Months along now

So.. It's getting down there now, We are technically 35 weeks along, so only about 5 or so weeks left to go. With the holidays coming up we are hoping time goes fast.

We are getting so close to getting Brandon's room done. All we need at this point are the chair rails to be put up.. All the painting is done and furniture is all put together. I will post some pics of the progress.

Our next doc appointment is on Dec 21st, after that one we will be going once a week until Brandon is born. At this next appointment they will do a full check to see if I am dialated at all and all that good stuff. We also will determine at that appointment if going to Aberdeen for Christmas is going to be doable or not. We are really hoping so, as we havent been there for christmas in a few years.

I have been feeling ok.. My hip is really really bothering me now. Mostly just my left hip. I guess the doc says that Brandon is now head down and pushing his head up against my hip/pelvis getting ready for his big enterance.. My Sciatic nerve pain however is pretty much gone at this point so thats good news. I am still having some back pain but have been taking lots of baths and getting lots of massages from Jason to help out with that.

I am offically done working as of Friday this week. Thursday is my last day for the next 4 months. And I am sooooo looking forward to it, as now an 8 hour shift just about kills me. I am normally in so much pain by the end of the night it is hard for me to even get to sleep at night. So Luckly, I only have to worry about wednesday and thursday to get through and then I can start to relax.

I guess that's about all that is new for now. If I don't post anything till christmas, we hope that everyone has a very merry chirstmas and a very happy new year. Love the Sandmeier's!

Only 8 Weeks left (hopefully)

So We are at 32 weeks along now. Or 8 months. How exciting. We have gotten pretty much everything ready for Brandon's arrival. I think if he were to arrive now we would be able to get by with everything we have. So that makes me feel good. not that he is coming quite yet, but ya never know.

So last weekend I had my last two baby showers. Brandon got Lots of nice stuff for his Nursary and for him to wear and play with. I had such a great time at both showers and want to thank my friends Jessie and Kelly along with my cousins, Kristin, Amy and Candace for throwing those showers for me. They were a great time.

We ended up with enough money in gift cards after the showers to get the Stroller/Car seat set, and our changing table that I really wanted, along with some more onesies and sleepers. Everything is coming together quite nicley.

As far as his room goes. Jason has gotten all the painting done now, which is a huge relife. Now all we need to do is go get the chair rail we are putting up between the two colors. I was gonna post some pictures but I haven't gotten around yet to taking some of the 1/2 finished room.

This week is Thanksgiving, I have the day off however Jason will be working (double time baby, YAY) so anyway, We decided to just do a little thanksgiving of our own for the night. So when he gets off work we are planning on deep frying a (chicken) i think not a turkey. ha ha.. and making all the fixings, It willprobably be a late dinner but it's ok. We will have fun.

I have been sick this week with a bad sinus infection. I was really hoping it would hold off enough to not get in the way of my showers and it seems to have done just that. It hit me on Sunday night (even though I knew it was coming for a day or so before that) and I have been dealing with that for the past few days. NOt fun. We did have our 32 week appointment on Monday so the doc was able to put me on the Zpack they call it. Which is supposed to help me get rid of this infection. Other than that the 32 week appointment was pretty normal. In and out. Brandon's heartbeat is still around the 140's so thats good. Now we are at the point where we go into the doc every two weeks, then in the last month we will go every week. So that is exciting knowing we are that close to his arrival.

We are getting more and more excited as each day goes on for Brandon to arrive. It is gonna be such a fun experiance and I can't wait for it.

My leave from work starts on December 18th, so I only have a few more weeks of working left then I am off for 4 months. I can't wait. Work is getting harder and harder to do as it used to be just the sitting made my back hurt a lot but now the sitting the standing the walking the stress, the everything makes me ach. By the end of the evenings I am all worn out and Really ready for bed. So it will be nice to relax in a few weeks when I can put work behind me for a while and just think about Brandon and Jason. My precious little family.

We hope everyone has a Wonderful Thanksgiving and Be safe.

Till next time.

7 Months Along

Well, we are a little over 7 months along now. 29 weeks to be exact. Things are going pretty good. I have had some back pain I have been dealing with most evenings. Latley It doesnt really matter what I am doing, I still have this pain in my back. But Oh well.. not too much I can do about it.

Not really too much is new. Jason has got the first coat of brown on the baby room now, and hopefully will have the second coat done by maybe the end of this week. It is really starting to look pretty cute.

I did have my first shower last weekend. It was a lot of fun and I thank my aunt cindy and cousin Nikki for throwing it for me. Brandon got lots of cute stuff, bouncy seats, rattles, musical gyms, and lots of hooded towels and onesies. I can't wait now to dress him and bath him and all that fun stuff.

I have two more showers in November, One is being thrown by my friends Jessie and Kelly, and the other is for the Drangstveit side of the family thrown by my cousins Amy, Candy and Kristin. They both should be a great time.

We are getting more exiceted for the Holidays to come, as we will be able (with doc approval of couse,) make it to Aberdeen for christmas this year. hopefully we will be able to stay about 4 or 5 days this time. I think we do plan on driving. But of course we do need to talk to the doc about that first. So we'll see.

Well, only about 76 or so more days to go.. so hopefully the time passes by quickly.

Bye Bye now...

Only 98 days to go!

Hey there, well we are 26 weeks (or 6.5 months) along now. We had an interesting night a few nights ago. I was at work and feeling some bad pains in my right side and around to my back around my kidney area and the pains wouldnt go away. I waited a few hours till I got home, Jason had me drink water and take some tylonol and we went to bed hoping laying down would help, well anyway nothing helped so around 11:30 ish we decided to go into the Emergency Room just to make sure everything was ok. I felt like it was a Kidney infection so I wanted to make sure and get it taken care of. Well I guess with all the H1N1 going on if you are pregnant past 20 weeks you cant sit in the emergency room anymore, so they sent us directly to Labor and Delevery. (let me tell ya, that felt weird being there since i didn't expect to be there for another 3 months or so) we did get to walk past the Nursury and see all the tiny babys... (it made me tear up a bit). So anyways, after a ton of test and listning to Brandon's hearbeat and all of that it ended up being nothing. No Bladder infection, no kidney infection. They said it was probably just my Ligaments in my belly streching as the baby is growing.. (it definitally felt more than that) but if thats what they say. I will belive them. So All is good.

Jason is working hard now on the baby room. He is painting the second coat of blue as I type this. It is starting to look so good. I wil post some pics of him in the process.

I also finaly took some 6 month pics of me and my belly so I will post some of those too.

We are headed over to the Gisch's household tonight for dinner with them and the Cavanaugh's. It should be a great time. Pork Tenderloin is on the menu.. MMMMM sounds great.

We have our next appointment in about a week and a half I think. Not too much at that appointment, however after that one we start going ever two weeks.

25 Week Update

So I got my phone call back from the doctors office about my glucose test and I passed! Phew.. I was kinda worrying about it, but all is good. They did however find out that I am Anemic. For those who dont know what that means (as I didn't) Anemia usually is caused by deficiencies of iron, I guess it can also be caused by a deficiency in red blood cell production. So I am now on a medication (I will start tomorrow) to get some more iron in my body. Which all makes sense.. I do get really weak latley, really tired and worn out after doing simple things as in walk for about 5 min (somewhat briskly or not), climb stairs and what not. I figured it was just due to pregnancy which, I guess partly can be but now i know it is more due to the anemia. Hopefully the pills will make it better.

Other than that.. I guess that's all. Jason started working on the baby room a bit more. He has got the holes in the walls (where old pics were) all mudded up and ready to be painted. That will probably be done this weekend. Then my uncle Roy, later on, Is gonna help us with a Chair rail.

So far we still need to put the new dresser all together, It is now still in a box in the loft (along with a lot of other items with no home yet). I dont know where I will put all this stuff. Oh well.. I will find a place i guess.

Love ya all

6 Months along now

Hey everyone, So I am offically 6 months along now. WOO HOO.. I have been feeling pretty good, (if you dont count the pain in my butt) Literally.. ha ha.. I have thought this whole time it was my Tailbone that was giving me lots of problems but now have finally found out that it is my sciatic nerve. So as far as I know... The sciatic nerve runs under your uterus to your legs. The cause of sciatic nerve pain is thought to be associated with pressure on the nerve caused by the developing baby. So the doc says that he is sitting on the discs in my back and it is causing me to have this pinched nerve pain in my butt and let.. (only my left leg). So it has been slowly getting worse.. it is hard for me to move quickly, i cant bend over and do things i did before as well, as in put clothes in dryer, sweep, get things out of the fridge.. WALK... ha ha.. All things i need to do. So it is a pain in the butt (ha ha.. PUN intended) but nothing I can do about it but put a heat pad on it and strech it.. which i have been doing..

Brandon is over one pound now. He is steadly gaining about 4oz per week as of right now. He is Kicking like crazy, and now starting to wake me up at night because of the kicks. He is I think just over a foot long now. (the length of an ear of corn i guess). He is doing great though.

Apparently my uterus is now the size of a Soccer Ball.. And man does it feel like I am carring one in my belly. I had my Glucose Screening test today, and should have the results by tomorrow (i think) to see if I passed or not. I really hope I do cuz if I don't I have to go back in for a 3 hour test. Today's was only an hour long. The doc measured my belly today and said everything is lining up just right, I am just as big as I am supposed to be at 24 weeks. So that's good. He said my weight gain is also doing good. So that's good. I was getting worried about the weight gain this morning, but, apparenlty i am right on track.

We did get a baby gift from my brother Andy and Lynn since Lynn wont be able to make any showers. They got us a little toy box, with lots of goodies in it.. Lullibie CD, travel bottle heater, hangers, baby tylonol ect. It was fun to get a gift and I had a great time putting it all away in Brandon's new closet that is all ready for him.

I will post again when I know the results of my Glucose test, and maybe with some 6 month Pictures of me and the belly.

Jason and I did have a nice trip this past weekend as well. Probably our last on a plane until after Brandon is here. We went out to Washington D.C. to visit Matt and Lindsey. We did lots of sight seeing, (which was a challange with a pinched nerve in my back, but it was fun). Since we have been there so many times now and seen all the usual monuments, this time we went to see some things we haven't seen. We first went to the Holocaust Museum (which was sad but very interesting) then we went to Lindseys favorite, the Museum of portraits (not sure if thats the offical name), then we went to see the National Archives. That was pretty neat as well. Matt brought us out on his boat on Monday morning, however it was Really windy so it was hard to go too far from their house. We did find a little cove to go into so Matt and Smells (his roomie) could show us their Wake Boarding skills.. MAN o MAN they are good. I had no idea they were so good at it. I told him Next summer I am gonna try it. We also got to see Mt. Vernon (from the Potomac river) so that was cool too.

That's all for now. Dani

22 Weeks Along

Not too much has changed here in the past few weeks. We did get our crib and dresser for Baby Brandon, so we have finally started working on his room today. We got the old bed and old dresser taken out of there and is at my parents house for storage right now. Now we have just been going through the room and getting rid of old things and finding places for all the stuff that was in there before.

I have been feeling pretty good. For the most part, I have had some bad lower back and tailbone pains still but i talked to the doc about it last week at our appointment and he gave me some back excersiese to do, along with Prenatal Yoga. So I have just started doing that and it seems to be helping a little bit. When I have busy days at work and stand too long it still hurts but I assume that is just how it's gonna be.

I will post some more pics up here when we get the baby room finished. It probably wont be for a while though.

Bowling started last week. That was a ton of fun. We were really looking forward to starting up the bowling season again. Our team name this year is Married and Expecting cuz my friend Jessie who is on our team is also pregnant now too! We are so excited for them as well. So our babies will only be about 3 months apart. But bowling was a good time. I didn't bowl the best but that's ok the first day cuz we are just then establishing our averages and what not. Jason did pretty good, as usual.

Next weekend both my brothers will be in town for my cousin Pat and Sam's wedding. It should be a great time.

That's all for now. Talk to you all later.

20 Week Ultrasound

20 Week Ultrasound

Well we had our 20 week Ultrasound on monday and found out IT'S A BOY!! We are so excited. The Ultrasound was one of the coolest things we had ever seen before. It was so neat seeing him squirm around (which he did a lot). He kept putting his feet down and lifting his butt up, and also he kept moving his jaw up and down like he was talking in there.

For his name we are pretty sure we have settled on Brandon Paul.

His room is gonna be decorated in Light Blue and Brown with Stars and Airplanes.

Jason's Parents were in town last weekend as well, and we had so much fun with them. Lots of running around. We did get Brandon his very first Twins shirt when we were at the game on monday night. Also we went to the mall the next day and got him his first Fighting Sioux (UND Hockey) Outfit. It says "Little Sioux Fan" on it. Very cute.

We did start a registry at Babies-r-us but haven't completed it yet, that will be for the upcoming shower. I think my cousin nikki wants to throw one for my around the end of October or somewhere around there. I will let you know when it gets closer.

We do also plan on registering at Target since that is easier to get to for some people. but we still have plenty of time for that.

Brandon is kicking a lot now. They are getting bigger too. Acutally just last night I was sitting on the couch and he started kicking a lot so I had Jason put his hand on my belly. (we have tried this tons of times so far and he hasn't been able to feel him kick) But last night he was kicking so hard, I had Jason put his hand there and I just watched his face.. When the big kick came.. Jason jumped a bit and just looked at me.. I said yeah that was a kick.. did you feel it... he was like YEAH I FELT IT.. It was soooo cool. I am really glad he is able to feel the kicks now.

That's all for now

Just about 19 Weeks along

So I am technically about 18.5 weeks along now. Things are going great. The baby is starting to kick now and it is a pretty awsome feeling. Jason has yet to feel it, I think the kicks are not quite strong enough for him to feel from the outside. But I can definitally feel them from the inside. At first it just felt like little butterflys in there, then it got bigger and felt like someone was flicking me from the inside of my belly but now it defititally just feels like I am getting kicked from the inside. ha ha.. It's pretty cool.

One more week and we go in for our Ultrasound. We are getting more and more exicted everyday to (hopefully) be able to find out what the baby's sex is. Either little Brandon or little Alyssa. I can't wait. I just hope the baby is sitting in the correct position that they will be able to tell.

Jason's parents are also coming to town the same weekend we get to have the Ultrasound. So that will be a good time to have them here when that is going on. I am sure there will be lots of shopping after we get to find out what the sex is. I think we also maybe plan on going to a Twins game and/or maybe the State Fair since that is going on as well when they are in town. I would love to show the Sandmeier's what the MN state fair is like.

Other than that, not too much is going on. I got a new schedule at work and will now be 3-11 (instaed of 3:30 - 11:30) so not too much different. however now I will always be at the end of the F concourse. Instead off all over the airport like I am now. I still will have Monday and Tuesdays off though.

Last weekend I went to Sam's Bridal shower (she is my cousin Pat's soon to be wife) and we all had a great time. She is gonna be such a Beautiful Bride. I can't wait for their wedding. I just hope I get the night off to be able to go to it. ha ha.

That's all for now. I will post some more pics in a week and a half after we get some ultrasound pictures. Until then.... ta ta

15 weeks

Well, today we are 15 weeks along. Which in fruit sizes again our baby is the size of an Orange.. MMMM.. We have our 4 month appointment Next week. Everything is going great. I did finally post a pic of my 3 and a half month belly. It is a tiny bit bigger now but not too much.

We had some sad news this week. My cousin Trent, passed away this week. It was a unexpected death so it has been rough on a lot of people. Keep us and My Aunt Cindy and Rob in your prayers along with their whole family as it was Rob's son who passed.

That is all thats going on this week. I will post again after our next doc apt.

Danielle

Sunday, July 19, 2009

So not too much is new here, I am now 14 weeks (3 and a half months) along now. Things are going pretty good. I seem to get worn out faster than I used to. I can't really stand at work as long as I used to be able to in the past. I have had a couple busy days at work and stood too long and that makes my tailbone and back ache for days. But I am working on taking more breaks at work and sitting down more.

I am finally starting to get more of a baby bump. It's pretty exciting.

This weekend we are going to the cabin for the Golf Outing. Jason is going to meet us up there after he gets done with work. So I will be up there from thursday till monday. I am very excited to have a nice 5 days to relax and NOT stand for a while.

That's about all that's going on with us. Like I said, not much else is new. Hopefully everyone else is doing good too.

Our next doc apt (the 16 week apt) is on August 4th. I will post again afterwards and let everyone know how everything is going then.

Lots to Celebrate

This week we have what seems to be a lot to celebrate... First about baby... I am now 11 weeks along. Very excited to be almost done with the first trimester. I have been feeling MUCH (about 90%) better now a days, no more mornining sickness at all. The only thing now is I have been getting a lot of headaches. I think as long as I keep some food in my tummy at all times they mostly go away.
As far as I read, the baby is about the size of a Lime now, which seems really big to me. But thats great. I am very excited to get a baby belly and wish it would come faster, I know i will probably regret saying that once i do have a big belly. As far as right now, when I wake up in the morning, I feel like I have no bump at all. By the time the day goes on, probably cuz i get food in there, by the end of the day my belly is defiintally sticking out. Weird.
I did get my maternity work clothes in the mail since my uniform I have now barley fits anymore. The work uniform for maternity clothes are hiddious. I am going to hold off on wearing them for as long as I possibly can cuz I hate them. There is a dress I can order too so I might try to order that and see if it fits any better.

News about me, well the other day I went into work and was pulled into one of our big head hancho managers office, I was then told that the lady who does our training classes right now accepted a new position in scheduling and they needed to replace her. So, the manager got together with her top advisors and told them to come up with a few names of Agents that they thought would be good for the trainer job. Apperently my name was brought up with ALL the advisors. So she offered me (and three others) the job. Of course I accepted. Eventually, I will be helpling teach ART classes (annual reacurrant training) , that involes hazmat, dangerous goods and ect. type of classes. They asked me to help out when they needed it. Which it sounds like might not be until September. So as of right now I will still be at the gates and doing my regularly scheduled work unless they need me in the training room.

Jason also had a very good week at work. He had enough hours and experiance in the sector (i hope i get this all right) that he was training in and he took his big test (check ride) to see if he could now work alone in that sector. Which he passed. He passed this test and I got my Promotion on the same day. What a day to celebrate, Unfortunitally we were both at work and couldn't celebrate together. ha ha.. I am very proud of Jason and know he worked really hard to pass this portion of his training. Hopefully only 5 or 6 more months and maybe he will be fully certified.

Thats all for now. This message got to be a lot longer than I thought it would be. Thanks for reading. Hope you enjoyed

Happy News

For those who don't know yet, we are expecting. We are due january 18th and very excited about it. So far things are going great! I am 10 weeks along at this point and couldnt be doing any better.

The first two months I had morning sickness (more like all day sickness) all the time, everyday. However, ever since last week, it has gotten a ton better. Still get it everyonce and a while but not as bad as before.

So far I am donig good on weight gain. I have gained only 2 lbs so far. And proud of that. I know i will definitally need to gain more later on but for now, 2lbs is fine by me. I think both those lbs went right to my lovehandles.. Oh well. Its worth it.

Today, June 23rd, we got to go to our first OB appointment. I got a full Physical (everything is great) and got to hear the heartbeat of the baby. It was one of the coolest things we have ever heard. A lot of my fears have now gone away, so that is a huge weight lifted off our shoulders. The doc kept saying "it is still early, so dont be suprised if we cant hear the heartbeat" then as he searched for it he kept finding mine.. then all of a sudden there it was. Man it was cool. The heartbeat was 160 which doc says is good.

For now that is all to report. I will post some pics in a few weeks when my baby bump actually starts to show more. For now, it seems that in the mornings I am not showing at all but by the end of the day, i feel like i have a big baby belly. So I dont know.

Love ya all lots,

Danielle & Jason
